Board votes not to use tasers in school (FOX10 Mobile)

Should tasers be allowed in public schools? Mobile County School Board Members don’t think so, or at least some of them. The board voted 3-to-2 Monday night against the action.

Oregon man gets his wallet back after losing in 1946 at middle school gym (KWGN Denver)

BAKER CITY, Ore. (AP) — Bill Fulton doesn’t remember losing his wallet, but its return helped him remember the past. The leather stayed smooth and the cowboy design unblemished. The zipper moved with ease. And when he looked inside, the contents brought back memories from 1946, when he apparently dropped the wallet behind the balcony bleachers in the Baker Middle School gym.

Back to school clothing drive (Tehachapi News)

The Salvation Army of Tehachapi is collecting new and gently used clothing for the Back to School Clothing Drive. Last year they assisted 400 local children with back packs filled with school supplies, free haircuts, free immunizations, a voucher for a new pair of school shoes, and gently used school clothes. Judge orders no back pay for school counselor Maria S. Serrazina (The Republican)
