Parents worry about swine flu, where to bring children if school shuts down (11 News Houston)

Parents were called to pick up their kids from Lyons Elementary after one of the students was reported with a confirmed case of swine flu. But even with the school closed, medical experts say parents should still watch their children for signs of swine flu.

Officials in Contra Costa County say the tests for nine kids at an elementary school in Pittsburg have come back negative for swine flu. On Wednesday, nine kids from the same class reported flu-like symptoms at Marina Vista Elementary School. Gilroy school closed due to 7 students’ symptoms (Hollister Free Lance)

GILROY Rucker Elementary School will be closed tomorrow now that seven students in the same fourth grade class are exhibiting symptoms of swine flu, according to Gilroy Unified School District Superintendent Deborah Flores. A-Rod refuses to address claims he used steroids in high school (Chicago Tribune)

NEW YORK (AP) — A new, unflattering biography of Alex Rodriguez reportedly says he may have used steroids as early as high school and even after he joined the New York Yankees. Rodriguez admitted in February to using steroids while with the Texas Rangers from 2001-03, but insisted he stopped before he was traded to the Yankees in February 2004.
